The Casaccia Research Center is ENEA’s largest complex of laboratories and plants. It is located on the Via Anguillarese, about 25 km north-west of Rome, near Lake Bracciano. Its name derives from the “La Casaccia” farm around which, in 1959, the first laboratories arose in which a few dozen researchers operated, who formed the original nucleus of what is today one of the main centers of interdisciplinary research at a national level .
